THE ENVISION PROCESS

The Envision process can help bring new clarity to your life goals and enhance your confidence in your ability to achieve them. Combining goal-based advice with sophisticated statistical modeling, the Envision process creates an effective, easy-to-understand method for you to prioritize and help achieve important life goals. Even better, it can keep you apprised of that most critical of financial questions, “How am I doing?”. Through the Envision process we can track your progress, decide on an appropriate investment strategy, and re-sync – or rethink – your approach when ever necessary.

IMPORTANT: The projections or other information generated by Envision regarding the likelihood of various investment outcomes are hypothetical in nature, do not reflect actual investment results and are not guarantees of future results. Results may vary with each use, and over time.

ENVISION METHODOLOGY: Based on accepted statistical methods, the Envision tool uses a simulation model to test your Ideal, Acceptable and Recommended Investment Plans. The simulation model uses assumptions about inflation, financial market returns and the relationships among these variables. These assumptions were derived from analysis of historical data. Using Monte Carlo simulation, the Envision tool simulates 1,000 different potential outcomes over a lifetime of investing varying historical risk, return, and correlation amongst the assets. Some of these scenarios will assume strong financial market returns, similar to the best periods of history for investors. Others will be similar to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.

REASONS TO WORK WITH A CFP®

Most people think that all financial planners are “certified.” This isn’t true. Anyone can call themselves a “financial planner.” Only those who have fulfilled the certification and renewal requirements of the CFP® Board can display the CFP® certification marks. When choosing a financial planner, you need to feel confident that the person you select has the skills and ethics required to help you plan your financial future.

CFP® professionals follow a financial planning process to serve the needs of individuals, families and businesses.

Unlike many financial advisors, CFP® professionals must develop their theoretical and practical knowledge by completing a comprehensive course of study at a college or university offering a personal financial planning curriculum approved by the CFP® Board.
To earn a CFP® designation, your planner needs to pass a two-day, 10 hour examination covering the financial planning process, tax planning, employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and insurance.
CFP® professionals must have three years minimum experience in the financial planning process prior to earning the right to use the CFP® certification marks. As a result, CFP® practitioners possess financial counseling skills and financial planning knowledge.
CFP® practitioners agree to abide by a strict code of professional conduct, known as CFP® Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
CFP® Board performs a background check before approval, and each individual must disclose any investigations or legal proceedings related to their professional or business conduct.
CFP® professionals are required to maintain their planning skills and fulfill ethical obligations — completing 30 hours of continuing education over two years to maintain their designation.
